Learn More About Yoga

The Yoga Institute Teacher Training Course is a programme of exceptional quality and value. The course is recognised by yoga’s peak industry body, – the Yoga Teachers Association of Australia (YTAA), which holds the highest standards for Yoga Teacher Training in Australia.

Our comprehensive teacher training curriculum and short course calendar include a strong focus on:

* yoga philosophy * psychology * mental health and well-being, * classical yoga techniques and teaching skills.

This focus and knowledge, based in the ‘ancient teachings’ in the tradition of Krishnamacharya, delivers an authentic and unparalleled understanding of what makes yoga so rich, meaningful and valuable in our lives today – ‘ancient wisdom for modern living’.

Guidance and Support for Teacher Trainees

Yoga Institute requires students take up a unique and valuable opportunity for one-on-one mentoring, as an integral part of the training programme. The Yoga Institute values the role that mentoring offers both trainee teachers and yoga teachers. We have a team of experienced mentors who provide support and guidance, including developing a personal yoga practice.

Feel Empowered on Your Healing Journey

The therapeutic application of yoga has much to offer people facing health challenges. Yoga Therapy supports individuals to manage their health using the principles of yoga. Applications include sleep disorders, anxiety, depression, back pain, scoliosis, asthma, addiction and menstrual issues.

At the Yoga Institute we aim to bring people together to explore, experience and enjoy the benefits of yoga. We aim to build relationships and community, and support each other in our own journeys to health, well-being and self-awareness, through our sharing of yoga. We welcome you to join us.
