Ancient Secrets of Mind and Meditation Seminar

Join Yoga Insitute's Michael de Manincor when he presents an enlightening seminar on The Ancient Secrets of Mind and Meditation on Sunday 12 September 2010.

We all know that meditation is good for us! In this workshop, Michael will enlighten you on the ancient teachings of Yoga and how they relate to meditation and the workings of the mind. Learn practical tips to develop your meditation. Learn which meditation techniques are suitable for you. Deepen your understanding of the ancient teachings and learn how they are relevant today.

You will learn and experience techniques of meditation as described and practiced by the ancients. Michael explains that “A lot of the modern techniques of meditation have really been refined down to the absolute bare basics, and some of the ancient practices have been oversimplified. We have lost the essence of the practices over time. Whilst the basics of meditation can be very beneficial, we experience so much more if we have a deeper and more complete understanding of the ancient philosophies from which meditation comes.”

Watch a video of Michael talking about yoga and the mind.

“Michael de Manincor's life is dedicated to the teaching of Yoga. His teachings of the Yoga Sutras should definitely not be missed by anyone who wants to delve into the deeper studies of yoga.”

Are You Doing the Right Yoga for You?

The Power of a Personal Practice

While attending yoga classes has many benefits, the greatest gains are generally come from a well designed home practice.

The traditional of a one-on-one approach to yoga ensures that the teacher gains a thorough understanding of each student's unique needs and goals.

The first consultation involved a comprehensive health and lifestyle analysis. A home practice is then designed and taught that takes into account physical, emotional or mental issues.

The Yoga Institute specialises in this personalised approach to yoga. If you'd like more information about private yoga and a custom designed home practice, don't hesitate to contact us.
