Course Recognition

Yoga Teachers’ Association of Australia (YTAA)

The Yoga Institute Diploma of Yoga Teaching is recognised by the YTAA.

Completion of the Diploma course meets all the requirements to become a full member with the YTAA (Level 1, 350 hrs). Membership of the YTAA also provides eligibility to gain professional indemnity insurance in Australia.

Please note that currently there is no governing body or government requirements for course accreditation or certification of Yoga Teachers in Australia. However, government requirements for accreditation and registration of Yoga Teachers may change in the future.

Krishnamacharya Healing & Yoga Foundation (KHYF), India

The KHYF is an internationally recognised organisation founded by world renowned teachers TKV Desikachar and Kausthub Desikachar, and maintains the authentic tradition of the teachings of Yoga master T Krishnamacharya. The Yoga Institute Advanced Diploma Teacher Training course is fully accredited with the KHYF.

The course director, Michael de Manincor, is an accredited Yoga Teacher Trainer with the KHYF, and Senior Teacher with YTAA. Graduates of the Advanced Diploma course are eligible for membership and certification as Yoga Teachers with the KHYF.
