Yoga Therapy is the advanced therapeutic application of yoga, to assist people with a range of physical, emotional and mental health concerns. Yoga Therapy empowers and supports individuals to manage and improve their health. Using the principles of yoga and applying a range of yoga practices, developed within a professional therapeutic relationship. Applications include helping people with such things as sleep disorders, anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue, back pain, scoliosis, asthma, addictions and menstrual issues.
In a series of private consultations, your needs will be discussed and assessed by a qualified Yoga Therapist. From this, a customised yoga practice will be developed and taught; one that is appropriate for your particular needs. Factors for different individual needs that might be considered include general health, specific injuries or conditions, age, strength, flexibility, and life circumstances. Sessions might also include counselling.

A yoga therapist is an experienced yoga teacher with specialised skills and knowledge in the application of yoga in a therapeutic setting. A yoga therapist draws from the principles of yoga and the full range of yoga practices, bio-medical knowledge and assessment skills to establish a professional relationship with clients in developing a self empowering therapeutic program appropriate to their needs.

Yoga practices may be incorporated into a holistic approach to your mind-body health, or body-centered counselling. Private Health insurance and Medicare rebates may apply.
Health Insurance Rebates: Cost for yoga lessons may now be claimed with many private health insurance policies. You may also be able to claim for psychological services, if applicable.
Cancellation fee: If you are unable to make your private lesson, please contact your teacher within 24 hours. 50% of consultation fee applies if you do not inform us within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment. Full consultation fees apply if you do not inform us at all.
